Dendreon Pharmaceuticals LLC (Dendreon) supports a variety of independent, accredited continuing medical education (CME) activities and educational program grants that provide valuable scientific, medical, and educational information to the medical and scientific communities.

Independent CME

The accredited continuing education programs that Dendreon may support include CME-certified educational activities for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

All accredited programs must follow the standards set forth in the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support / Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education or similar accrediting organizations.

Dendreon's current therapeutic areas of interest include:

Oncology - Prostate Cancer, Advanced Prostate Cancer, Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer

Dendreon will consider all independent CME grant applications, including: (1) unsolicited submissions, and (2) professional CME programs (which may or may not integrate patient education that is of high quality, unbiased, evidence-based, and independently developed).

Educational Program Grants and Charitable Initiatives

Dendreon provides limited financial support to qualified 501(c)(3) or otherwise IRS tax-exempt charitable organizations. We will consider support of medical- and patient-centered programs and activities in communities where Dendreon operates, as well as initiatives that may have national impact.

Submitting a CME / Charitable Initiative / Grant Request

Groups requesting CME or financial support should complete the form below and upload the following documentation for review and consideration:

1.A letter of request, including deadline for financial support

2.Detailed proposal with total budget requested. CME programs require detailed information on needs assessment, learning objectives, program agenda, and estimated number of participants

3.W-9 form

4.An itemized budget (with listed cosponsors, if any)

5.IRS determination letter confirming 501(c)(3) tax status (applicable for charitable initiatives)

Responsibility and control over selection, content, faculty, educational materials, and venue for educational programs belong solely to the providers and/or accreditors. Dendreon will not provide any guidance regarding the content or faculty for any programs receiving funding.

Additional Submission Requirements

Refund Process for Unused IME Grant Funding

Upon reconciliation of independent CME grants, all unused funding over $500 is required to be returned to Dendreon.

Open Payments (Sunshine) Reporting

Dendreon adheres to the Physician Payment Transparency Program (commonly referred to as the Sunshine Act and Open Payments) and will report all appropriate payments to covered recipients for all approved grants.

COVID-19 Update

At Dendreon, the health and well-being of our employees, patients, and communities are of high importance. In an effort to help contain the spread of COVID-19, we will prioritize virtual or enduring education activities or other novel instructional/design/format grant submissions during these uncertain times.

Live events will be considered when exposure restrictions are lifted.

Exceptions may be granted for future national live meetings with known early submission deadlines.
